As a statutory requirement we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, covering the seven areas of learning and development:

Swann Lane Pre-School operates term time only Monday to Friday. We offer flexible mix and match sessions to suit your needs. Government-funding available for eligible 2-year-olds and all 3- & 4-year-olds, subject to availability.
Healthy Snacks – Healthy snacks are offered in the morning and afternoon, but children must bring their own packed lunch. Fresh drinking water is available at all times.
Our Daily Routine – A similar routine is followed every day to give the children a feeling of stability and security, but we have a flexible approach as needs arise. Our focus is to develop a range of social, life and self-help skills. Activities such as circle times, shared mealtimes, dressing skills and personal hygiene support this. Knowledge is enhanced through purposeful play and a wide variety of learning opportunities. These include: mark-making, construction, stories, puppets, sand, water, imaginative play, ICT, numeracy, scientific experiments, music and physical activities. We also enjoy a weekly visit from our friends at FootyTotz, which the children love.
Swann Lane Pre-School has safe outdoor facilities, which are used in all weathers, encouraging play and learning to take place outdoors.
We communicate to parents on a daily basis, both verbally and through a written diary.
