September 2020 – our KIDZONE clubs were closed during the summer term due to Coronavirus. We reopened all KIDZONE clubs in September and have been working with each respective school to ensure that our offer meets the needs of parents returning to work and provides a safe environment for our staff and the children.

The aims of each club are:
- To provide a facility that meets the needs of the children attending the club
- To provide a facility that meets the needs of working parents
- To ensure that the children are cared for in an environment that is safe and happy
- To make sure the club is interesting and stimulating
- Providing activities and opportunities to enhance positive self-esteem
When bringing your child to KIDZONE, parents are requested to sign their children in at Before School club. Children in Reception and KS1 are safely escorted to their classrooms for the start of their school day, older children make their own way to their classroom. At the end of the school day, the children come straight to the club from their classrooms. Again, Reception and KS1 children are collected and escorted to the club. Children from nursery/pre-school (4 years +) are more than welcome to attend KIDZONE, however, we would recommend that parents and carers visit KIDZONE whilst in operation, as the age range of children attending goes up to year 6 (11-years-old) and this can be daunting for some of our younger children.
Healthy snacks and drinks are provided in both the morning and afternoon sessions. Please note that we do not run a ‘breakfast club‘, however children who arrive before 8.10am can have toast, fruit or cereal if required, please speak to a member of staff if you have any specific requirements. Afternoon snacks include things like toast (also potato cakes, crumpets), pitta bread, cheese, a variety of seasonal fresh fruits, breadsticks and yoghurt; and drinking water is available at all times. Please let us know if your child has special dietary requirements. All clubs support the ‘healthy eating’ campaign.
What we do at KIDZONE…….
There are a wide variety of activities on offer for children to freely access like jigsaws, board games, Lego, action figures, dressing up clothes, arts and crafts, a computer, as well as the school playground to play in.
We also offer a programme of more structured activities like dancing competitions, treasure hunts, ball games, craft projects and cooking/baking. There is also a TV for children to occasionally watch DVDs.
Ultimately we want the children to feel comfortable and relaxed at the end of their busy school day in a homely environment.
